My name is Tannis Miller and I live in Winnipeg, MB Canada where I train and work for Julie Coram and Craig Bonnett of ContestPrep.ca! Fitness has always been important in my life, but it was only within the last year or so that I really began to take my diet and workouts to the next level. With a newfound passion that a life filled with fitness was a life worth living, I found myself taking more interest in activities such as training and my overall health. It was not until I completely revamped my lifestyle that I finally began to see real results in my physique and in the gym from my complete dedication to my new fitness routine. Many things for me changed for the better when I became aware of my determination and started reaching my fitness goals. I have recently entered the world of personal training, as I am recognizing my nature of inspiring others to realize their own potential! I LOVE it! After all, I believe nothing clears the mind better than a solid workout and a goal that you are determined to reach. I just feed off of the feeling of helping others realize this for themselves!
To date, I have three competitions under my belt. The first took place in October 2008: FAME Canadian Nationals in Calgary where I came in 1st place in the bikini model short class and to my amazement, was awarded my FAME Pro Card! I cracked the top five at the MABBA Novice competition here in Winnipeg in the Figure category in April, and took third place among over fourty beautiful bikini models in Vancouver at the WBFF B.C Championship last April. I am currently finishing my preparation for the WBFF World Championship held in Ontario where I will be competing against top fitness models in the industry, and where HUGE prizes are up for grabs!
As a new fitness model in the industry, I have already fallen in love with the strict and structured lifestyle that goes along with such rewards and nothing so far has been quite as fulfilling to me as this. I feel as though competing is much more than a short-term goal, but a lifestyle that can shape you into a more driven and goal oriented individual, and a lifestyle that I personally intend to keep forever.
I am thrilled to see where else I can go in this industry including upcoming shows with WBFF, as my previous music and dance background have helped me develop and realize my love for the stage!
