I am a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness instructor with over twenty eight years experience in the fitness industry. I also hold certifications in Level I Boxing and as a Cycle Reebok instructor. My diverse background includes working with adults and children, both in groups and one-on-one. I love working with people and helping them make positive changes in their lives. In April 2000, I placed second in the Montreal Pro Gym Bodybuilding Competition. The experience of this event has benefited my clients tremendously. I incorporate the knowledge of how to transform the body, whether it is to gain muscle, lose body fat, get toned, and improve core stability or cardiovascular endurance. I currently write a monthly article in the West Island Suburban newspaper the first week of the month as their fitness expert. Early this year I launched Fit Body by Phyl — 6 Weeks to your Best Body workshops to help people learn how to incorporate exercise and nutrition and melt fat! Since April I have had 11 workshops and the results have been unbelievable! I refer all my clients and workshop participants to Popeye's® they carry top quality products, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful and they do not hassle you to buy products that are not conducive to your fitness goals. Continued personal and professional growth has always been paramount. I attend conferences to keep up-to-date on fitness trends and changes in the industry. I also continue to take courses, upgrading my physical fitness knowledge even more. A Mom of four children, three boys and a girl, I keep busy.
