My name is Christen Kwan. I own and, along with my partner Mark Gharibians, operate Core Ten Physical Evolutions (www.coreten.ca), a private personal training studio and wellness center in North Vancouver, B.C. I am a nutritional consultant and a BCRPA registered personal trainer and fitness instructor with over nine years of training experience. As well as training others for general fitness and health, at Core Ten we do a lot of sports specific training for athletes. We particularly love coaching in all aspects of physique competition preparation including muscle building and sculpting, diet and nutrition, posing, routine development and stage presence. We are passionate about providing information and educating others so that they can experience the many benefits of enhanced lifestyle habits. It is incredibly rewarding to help people reach all of their health and fitness goals. Personally, I have successfully competed in over 20 natural bodybuilding competitions over the last 10 years and have earned many regional, national & world titles. In 2006 I earned my pro status with the WNSO in the FAME World event in Toronto. I started competing in June of 2000.
I shop for all of my supplements at Popeye's® in North Vancouver. Owner, Marc Duperron is always very informative and helpful. If I had to pick only one supplement that I wouldn't go without it would definitely be the Ultimate Nutrition 12,000 powdered BCAA's. These are my insurance policy against losing any hard earned muscle particularly during a lean down phase. Also included in my top ten favourite supplements is the orange Gaspari Superpump. I always get an amazing pump when I use this before a workout, especially when working chest and/or back muscles. Of course whey protein isolate is an integral part of my program; I always have a whey shake within minutes of finishing each and every workout. On season, my favourite is product is chocolate Isoflex by Allmax. In addition to these staples, I would recommend the Now brand green tea extract and L-Arginine as well as the Precision extra strength CLA.
